Final Fundraising for the 2015 H20 Paddle Challenge and Race Results

EUGENE — The initial fundraising results for the 2nd Annual Heroes 2 Oregon (H2O) Dragon Boat Paddle Challenge are in, and we netted a little over $9,600. That is up from our 2014 total of $4,438.08, that’s more than a $5,000 increase. 2015 Winter Practice Schedule Announced

Starting October 10, 2015 ECDBC will hold two practices a week. Our Saturday morning practice won’t change, but our week day practice will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. we practice at Lowell Park Marina at Dexter Lake. Oct. 5-9, 2015 there is no practice. Only TEN Paddlers Needed for H2O 2015

This year teams will only need to recruit 10 people to field a complete team at the H2O Paddle Challenge. Last year teams paddled in 20 man boats, but this year the Vancouver Lake Dragon Boat Club will bring down 3 ten-person boats. The cost of registering a team has also dropped to $350 (until Aug. 24 then it’s $450). Hopefully, the smaller boats will enable more community teams to participate in the event.
